WELCOME TO
GO GREEN DRIVING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

Shaping the future and raising the standards of instructor training.

Go Green Driving Instructor Training is dedicated to providing comprehensive instructor training courses designed to empower, built for clarity, and made for progression.

Lou, Blaine, Laura and Deucalion have pooled their vast instructor training experience and success to design a course fuelled by passion. Our dynamic team offers knowledge, skill, and experience to enhance our courses and training.

Our Story

About Us

Go Green was created after many years of seeing talented and enthusiastic people entering the industry full of hope, only to feel disillusioned or unsupported during their training. Too often, PDIs were being 'sold a dream' without receiving structure, clarity and guidance needed to truly succeed.

It became clear something different was needed - a course at was fully structured, clear and comprehensive, allowing PDIs to build strong foundations and understanding, while still maintaining the flexibility to train in a way that works for them.

Go Green was designed to support PDIs who are self studying, or alongside their practical training with trusted trainers, giving them the best possible opportunity to not only qualify - but to enjoy a successful and rewarding career that they've worked hard to achieve.

What We Do

Over the years, Go Green has continued to evolve, expanding to support instructors at every stage of their journey.

This now includes:

- Full training courses for PDIs
- Rescue Courses for PDIs
- CPD Courses for ADIs
- Our Train the Trainer course
- Mini Courses for everyone
- Online Zoom Workshops

Today, Go Green offers training and support for instructors and trainers across the industry.

Whether you're a PDI just starting your journey, preparing for your part 3, an ADI looking to refresh and develop your skills, or a Trainer searching for new ideas and focused structure - there is something here for you.

Meet the Team

Lou

In 2010 Lou passed all 3 qualifying tests first time after being recommended to join Blaine’s original training website. A few weeks later, Lou and Blaine met at an instructor event and married in 2011! Lou continued to teach pupils, train PDIs, and toured the country with her popular workshops.

Lou was committed to supporting PDIs to develop their teaching techniques to get the best out of pupils. Lou was keen for training to be enjoyable, constructive and inspiring - believing that with the right support, becoming an instructor should feel achievable for everyone.

Unfortunately in 2023, Lou passed away. Lou’s energy and enthusiasm remains a huge part of Go Green’s history, and her devotedness, creativity and individuality continues to shine through in her videos and content within Go Green. Go Green will be a lasting legacy of the energy and passion that Lou put into the industry.

Blaine

I qualified as an instructor in 1992 after failing the final qualifying test 3 times. Second time round I changed trainers and the penny dropped - I experienced different trainers and recognised the importance of being supported by someone who helps it all make sense.

I was the first trainer in the country to make use of the internet by creating the very first online training videos and started training virtually to keep up with growing demand.

I’m a Grade A ORDIT trainer and continue to teach pupils and train instructors. My passion is for the correct information to be given to PDIs to help them make the best training decisions.

Laura

I qualified as an instructor in 2018 at the age of 22 having trained with Lou, and went on to achieve a high grade A in my part 3 and standards check. I have since built a successful driving school which operates across 4 counties.

My passion lies within instructor training development, supporting PDIs and ADIs across the country to grow their instructional skills, confidence and maintain professional standards, with relevant and reliable information to support their professional development.I'm equally passionate about and committed to supporting Trainers, helping them acquire the resources and guidance needed to develop their own PDIs and grow successful driving schools.

I remain closely connected with industry developments, and support PDIs within Lou's PDI Group - our safe 'PDI only' Facebook group - to provide structure, guidance and industry insight, as a trusted trainer with a positive presence in the industry.

Deucalion

I started training at 21 years old and qualified in 2015. In 2018, I started training PDIs and ADIs, bringing a fresh perspective to an industry often clouded with conflicting advice. Today I run a local driving school of over a dozen instructors.

As a trainer, I want to unravel the complexities, simplify the process, and encourage instructors to think beyond the conventional ways. I care about clarifying the blurry lines, ensuring that every instructor is equipped with the knowledge and mindset to excel.

I firmly believe that the impact of an instructor goes beyond the driving test - it shapes a lifelong relationship with the road. It’s our responsibility to be remembered for all the right reasons, instilling driving skills, with a sense of responsibility, confidence, and a commitment to safety.

Learners never forget their driving instructor, and it’s our choice as to whether they’ll remember us for all the wrong reasons, or all the right ones.
